Guiding Principles

All students are expected to be attend with an open mind and heart. Take the time to practice and review your material so we can move forward from where we left off in your previous lesson.

Lessons can be in-person or over Zoom as requested by the student.

ZOOM LESSONS

Here is how you can prepare for you video lesson (especially if it’s your first time). Look at this document.

REQUIRED MATERIALS

As the teacher, I will provide sheet music, repertoire suggestions, a video recording of your lesson and piano tracks, as applicable.

You will need to bring water, a binder or device with your songs in it where you can take notes, and singing straws (if you have them).

If you are doing lessons online, you will need a mobile device in addition to your computer.

COMMUNICATIONS

All student communications regarding absences, scheduling changes, payments, and termination of lessons will occur through e-mail to [email protected].

PAYMENT

Lesson subscriptions, memberships and The Extremities will be paid through Stripe via Acuity (online booking system) or directly through Kajabi on the first of every month for the lessons in the month ahead.

A credit card will be required in all scenarios.

MISSED LESSONS

If you are unable to attend your lessons due to illness or another conflict, I require 24-hours notice. Any cancellations within 24 hours will require full payment for the lesson with no opportunity to re-schedule.

If you are aware of an absence in advance, we will make arrangements to have your lesson on another day.

RESCHEDULED LESSONS

Your 1:1 lesson subscription applies to a specific monthly amount, day and time for the duration of the school year (Sept-June). No lessons will be carried over to the following month. If I cancel any lessons or classes, these will be made up or refunded. If you cancel a private lesson I will do my best to reschedule it but this may not always be possible given my schedule. Any missed group classes by the student will not be made up.

LESSON TERMINATION

Students wishing to end their lessons must provide 15 days written notice to [email protected]. Failure to give this notice will result in a charge for 2 lessons.

MEDIA RELEASE

Part of being in the Singsana community means I often want to share your victories or portions of your lessons on social media. I will always check with you (or your parent) before posting anything but I do require your consent.

Consent can be given by signing our Lessons Agreement upon registration for 1:1 Subscriptions.

LIVE YEAR-END SHOWS

There will be a performance fee for all performers wishing to perform in the year-end show. Fees range from $30 - $50 depending on the needs of production and go direction to the live band or accompanist hired to play for you.
